Council is following the coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols. Waste facilities including the Recycling Markets have resumed normal operations. Customers are requested to comply with State Government directions with regard to mask wearing.

Council offers free coarse mulch at all waste facilities where available (refer to table below). This is available to all Sunshine Coast residential and commercial customers. Fine mulch is available for purchase from Buderim and Caloundra waste facilities only.

Crushed concrete is available for purchase from Buderim and Caloundra waste facilities only.

Mulch and concrete products are produced from incoming waste - garden waste and concrete and masonry wastes. Council crushes and grinds these wastes with the goal to recycle the materials and avoid disposal to landfill. Customers are welcome to visit the sites to inspect and check if these recycled materials meet your expectations and suit your purpose.
